THE GALENA GOLF CLUB
Located just outside historic Galena, Illinois, The Galena Golf Club is an 18 hole, par 71 layout that will provide opportunity and challenge for golfers of all skill levels with four sets of tees. Galena Golf Club was originally built as a 9 hole course in 1927. The course has undergone a complete face lift with an additional 9 built in 1994 and a comprehensive redesign of the original 9 in 2003. Golfers who have played the Galena Golf Club will talk about their day long after their round is complete.

James Doepke
Superintendent
James enters his fourth year as Head Golf Course Superintendent. James has an Associates Degree from Hawkeye Community College in Horticulture Management and a Bachelor of Science from Clarke University in Communication. James is a member of the Golf Course Superintendent’s Association of America(GCSAA) and the Northwest Illinois Golf Course Superintendents Association(NWIGCSA). James has been golfing since a young age and has held numerous golf course positions at several eastern Iowa golf courses. Golf is one of his passions. James is also involved in local communities and is a varsity girls basketball coach.
